Ron Bloom is the Co founder and CEO of PodShow, Inc. He comes from a history of building successful technology solutions and companies that date back to the launch of the World Wide Web. Mr. Bloom is ultimately responsible for PodShow's vision and business direction, driving its growth as both a new media network and a social media platform. He has managed the company through its early hyper-growth, helping to secure PodShow's marquee relationships with AppleŽ, Sirius Satellite Radio, British Telecom, Deutsch Telekom, and others, as well as securing financing from the company's elite private investors, including venture firms Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia Capital, Sherpalo Ventures and DAG Ventures. Under Bloom's leadership, PodShow has become the premier new media network, combining top-tier entertainment and edutainment with a sophisticated technology platform that brings millions of hours of content to audiences around the globe. In the process Bloom has defined a business model that disintermediates traditional media platforms and the businesses that support them, democratizing media and entertainment while creating a direct relationship between the producer and the audience.

In 2004, Bloom coined the 5/50 rule, often considered a defining prediction for the future of media; "Within 5 years, over 50% of all media consumed will be created by other consumers". He has a rewarding history as an entertainment and technology entrepreneur, having successfully created technology solutions and products for some of the world's most prestigious brands and is a respected spokesperson on the future of media.

Under the management of Bloom with partner and co founder Adam Curry, PodShow has been the primary force in the commercialization of podcasting, driving a trend that has made podcasting so popular that the word itself has been entered into Webster's English Dictionary. In the process, podcasting has become one of the principle global tools for providing information, entertainment, education and inspiration, finding its way into media companies, universities, schools, hospitals, museums and businesses.

Ron Bloom is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of THINK New Ideas, a company he took public with PodShow partner Adam Curry in 1996. Bloom led the company through venture rounds, an IPO, multiple acquisitions, a private placement of public equity, and, eventually the sale of the company for an estimated $350 million.

Prior to joining THINK New Ideas, Bloom was Partner, President and Chief Operating Officer of On Ramp, one of the world's first and most prestigious internet solutions providers.
